Lawn Seeding

One of the best ways to ensure a thick stand of turf is to add seed. For lawns that are in good shape but need to be thicker, we overseed by performing a lawn aeration, followed by spreading premium seed over the entire lawn. For lawns that are damaged by disease, drought, or insects, we use a slit saw to plant the grass seed at the proper depth and width to make a thick stand of grass. The best time to seed is in the fall, as the temperatures are cooler and there is normally enough moisture for the seed to germinate with minimal watering.
